Temporal Investigator Tempo is a bronze dragon initially found just outside Eon's Fringe in Thaldraszus. They are accompanied by a group of Temporal Defenders and Temporal Investigators. Tempo and their team came to the time-frozen settlement and worked on unfrozing it,[1] after which they relocated inside.
To help out with the remaining problems, the Timewalkers called in Ironormu for help, but he went back to his workshop instead, and she sent adventurers to locate him.[2] Not only was his workshop time-locked and full of fire elementals, Ironormu was also helping Finduin. When his timeforge was reclaimed and Finduin assisted, Ironormu let Finduin go to Tempo to return him to Azmerloth.[3]
When the composers Melly Teletone and Pedgi arrived at Eon's Fringe, Pedgi was convinced Tempo could help them due to their name, but Tempo was too busy with remnants of time disruptions from other timelines.[4] The pair thought that if they could help with the anomalies, then Tempo would have time for them. After defeating time oozes, Tempo had time to speak with Pedgi.[5]

What is a chronosmith?
- A chronosmith is charged with reforging, or repairing, that which has been damaged by temporal anomalies. While simply reversing time can often fix what has been broken, sometimes time itself can cause the most damage. Thus it requires a bit of finesse.
- When they are not on assignment, chronosmiths forge armaments for our flight and for the Timewalkers who assist us.
