Chinese-only patches

As they applied only to Chinese translations and therefore weren't released in non-Chinese regions (and have no English wiki page), should 2.0.9, 2.0.11, and 2.1.4 perhaps be removed from this template? It's a little confusing for them to be present and unlinked while 2.0.0 and 2.0.2 are missing entirely if one hasn't actually gone and researched the patches. If we know about the patches (USA release or not) they should be here -- People make mistakes and miss things on ocasion - if you see a missing patch add it in (just do so proplerly is all that is asked). -- (M o r p hJames E. Rooks, Jr. aka: Morph

Most recent patch

I just reverted Howbitzer editing for italicized the most recent patch. Please don't revert it again, you shouldn't have favoritism over the most recent patch. The largest number "3.2.0" is already self-explanatory. --Ramu50 (talk) 02:58, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Italicized has always meant not yet implemented. --Pcj (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 03:07, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
As a side note, it's an abbreviation for "bizarre" (biz+R). /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 6:35 PM, 29 Jul 2009 (EDT)

Suggestion

Just a simple suggestion: A "current patch status" group that lists the current builds on the Live, Public, and Beta realms. For example:

Live Realms: 4.0.1a · Public Test Realm: 4.0.3 · Closed Beta: 4.0.3a

When PTR or Beta isn't available, it could simply say "closed" or "N/A". Suzaku (talk) 03:43, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Category suggestion

I have a suggestion about the category on all the patch article. Pretty much, remove the Category:World of Warcraft patches from the patch articles and instead add it to this template. So it is more auto than manual. The defaultsorting for the category to keep the patches listed in the correct order instead of going by "Patch", just adding {{#DEFAULTSORT:{{{parameter}}}}} to {{Patchbox}} and create a new parameter to contain the sorting nam, e.g. 0.08, 6.0.3. I've already done this with the StarCraft Wiki by creating a parameter for the patch number and places it in the defaultsort and a child of the patches template contains its own category. The category on that child template is sorted correctly. What do you guys think? Should we go with this and implement it? -- — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 01:37, 27 April 2018 (UTC)

World of Warcraft: Classic

There is a discussion about including WoW Classic patches on this template or not. If it just happens to have patches (with or without patch notes) when it goes live. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 19:07, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
