Mmh this template is a good idea, but I don't like the cases where the NPCbox template has to be removed from pages now : / like Yrel and Major Characters in Icecrown Citadel... Also there are several side-effects: now you have to click twice when you want to upload a picture for a NPC, because there is an intermediary page which didn't exist before, and there is also the case that before your update the "no images" pictures were reserved for NPCs which didn't exist in WoW and thus would never be updated, whereas now both "NPCs that need a picture" and "NPCs that will never need a picture" are looking the same... - It should link to the missing picture now if there was a link there - meaning you don't have to click twice. I can set it up where an image will not be shown but we may need to figure that out on a case-by-case basis because I think the "no picture" helps at least some lore articles. The source pages should probably not have infoboxes in my opinion. --Pcj (T•C) 12:10, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
- I added the infoboxes because the original articles had them too. In case of Sylvanas and Rexxar, the infoboxes were a source for terms "unique undead" and "mok'nathal" as a race, so I'd like if they could stay.

- it's hard to have a general silhouette that represents all beasts, and I can't recreate that specific image without WoW. I may just create silhouettes for each individual species of beast. --Pcj (T•C) 17:44, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
Subraces suggestions
Alright lads, Battle for Azeroth has many new subraces that can use existing portraits, like junker gnome/mechagnome. What should we add to the template? Xporc (talk) 12:40, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
- Nevermind, one can find them easily by browsing the pages linking to File:Noimagechar.png and the other generic images. We're kinda missing someone good with photoshop to create new pics, tho Xporc (talk) 11:45, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
- I am not seeing any new subraces linking to File:Noimagechar.png. Most of those are "Unknown" or "Varies", which obviously can't be implemented. The rest are one-off NPCs which are't really feasible to implement just for one NPC in that race. --Pcj (T•C) 15:33, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
