Timbermaw Hold reputation guide page merge

Untitled

Need to verify what rep limit there is for the southern timbermaws -- gardeners, pathfinders, warriors.

Also not sure whether Ror still gives 15 rep at Revered.

-- When I helped my girlfriend with the southern timbermaws yesterday, the southern timbermaws only gave me 1 rep each, but my girlfriend got 5 (I am lvl 60, she was 48 at the time). For Ror she got 15, I got 3. Linkan

Rep gain for the rares would be nice if only for completeness.

10/31/2006 - Table updated to reflect rep gains and limits. Used N/A in spillover because there is no way to get an "uneven" amount of rep (all multiples of 5) I have killed all spawns between Felwood and Winterspring before and after revered within the last week.

I'm pretty sure the reputation gains for the soutern Deadwood Furbolgs were reduced. (1 at lvl 60 for average, 3 for Ror). So the table has to be changed. --Lynos 11:44, 31 December 2006 (EST)

I can confirm for all but Chieftain and Grizzle: when you no longer get experience from them, they give 1/5 reputation. --Eirik Ratcatcher 14:03, 22 March 2007 (EDT)

As of Patch 2.2 all reputation gains with Timbermaw Hold will be doubled. - can someone confirm that this is globally true, or is it explicitly stated somewhere? (references? ;P)

I tried it out yesterday (4.8.2007 EU PvE PTR) and it seemd to fit for the few things I checked:

Level 53 friendly:

  • Killing northern timbermaws => 11 (Human bonus, so 10 really) rep per kill. Didn't try any of the mini-bosses.
  • "Northern Furbolgs" Quest => 770 (non-human would be 700) rep, that's double the current 350.

Level 53 honoured:

  • "Feathers for Nasomethingorother (the northern guy)" Quest => 165 (non-human would be 150), also double.
  • "Speak to Salfa" Quest => 55 (non-human 50), double again
  • _Killing_ a timbermaw furbolg only lost me 25 rep... if I'm not mistaken this is a LOT less than is currently the case on the live realms, but I'm disinclined to try it out to verify ;P

Patch 2.2.0 changes:

  • Winterfall Spirit Bead turnins now reward 150 reputation instead of 75
  • This may not be a Patch 2.2.0 change, but if you are lvl 70, High Chief Winterfall only increases your reputation by 10

Omaninnu 05:49, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Both confirmed by yours truly (druid level 70) Honored, en route to Exalted:

  • Runecloth and Sacred Cloth now give 500 rep.
  • Deadwood and Winterfall Ritual Totems now give 700 rep.

...poor Salfa, buried under beads...

--Tielyn, 23:11, 25 Sep 2007 (PST)

The very first quest, to kill 6 of each deadwood, will put you all the way up into unfriendly. Did this on both my shaman and mage yesterday. Evanfardreamer 23:42, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Ally only quest

Ally only quest chain with a nice reward in the middle if you abandon the last quest in the chain:

Yes but that relates to Timbermaw reputation how? Seankreynolds 23:14, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

02/28/2008 Patch 2.3.2 I just tacked out High Chief Winterfall while he was still green (me 63, him 59), only 20 rep. Was this nerfed at some point? Nafe 05:20, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Patch 3.0.2

Looks like the rep points for this changed again. I turned in 15 beads today and got 300 point for each turn in, instead of the 150 it was doing last week. I did not change anything on the page here because I am not sure about any of the other numbers for the rep. If I get a chance, I will try them out with some of my other toons that are below revered with them to see if any of the killing rep has changed. dparvin (talk) 21:04, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Yes - confirmed this today. Used to get 1 or 2 exp per kill at 70, now I'm getting 4 for all non-named mob kills. And both beads and feathers grant 300 rep per 5. Wyndegrayfeather

I confirmed this last night as well, 5  [Winterfall Spirit Beads] were turned in for 300 rep Wigs (talk) 07:15, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

I noticed this as well - I was getting 20 rep per kill on the Deadwood furbolgs. Has the patch doubled all rep gains with the Timbermaw? Runiel

Can also confirm this, and will update the page Luiniel

I managed it at level 46

In "The Path to Exalted" it says that 290 feathers(/beads) are needed to get completely through Revered. Is this right? My math is showing 350... 21000 rep divided by 300 per turn-in = 70 turn-ins... and 70 turn-ins * 5 per turn-in = 350 beads/feathers. Looks like 315 for humans. Someone check me on this? -- Solitha (talk) 11:08, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Patch 3.0.8

You no-longer get less reputation because you're high level. Luiniel (talk) 22:13, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

You don't get rep from unnamed furbolgs at Revered. Not happy. Turned in a pile of beads thinking I'd still get kill rep at Revered. Also, High Chief Winterfall is 40 rep and Grizzle Snowpaw (the Winterfal Rare) is worth 0 rep. Rei-gouki (talk) 20:01, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

This has always been the case; it's not a new development with 3.0.8. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 23:55, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

I can confirm that Grizzle Snowpaw is worth 0 rep at revered; the page should be updated if someone knows if it's 0 from neutral all the way to exalted.

Merge with Timbermaw Hold?

Is there really any reason for this to be a separate article anymore, or can we merge it with the rep page? -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 08:21, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Same difference as Lore/tactics pages for bosses. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 21:40, September 21, 2009 (UTC)
Apart from being a (mostly) outdated rep, most other rep pages don't have a separate guide page and simply have all the rep quests and gains listed out on the same page. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 21:59, September 21, 2009 (UTC)

Humor

hahahahahha, this is hilarious :)

Starting rep

I just killed a timbermaw mystic and never had any dealings with them before. I lost 25 rep points and it is currently sitting at hostile 2475/3000 so in response to question on main page, I believe it should be 2500/3000 (I am horde tauren)

--Weave 08:41, 5 Feb 2006 (EST)

Reorganization

I reorganized everything on this page and Timbermaw Furbolg and created Timbermaw Hold reputation guide. Hopefully everything is better categorized now. Cornprone 02:19, 5 July 2006 (EDT)

Maybe they were once connected?

The Azshara "Timbermaw Hold" consists of a broken gate in front of a collapsed tunnel. Is it possible that it was once connected to the Felwood/Winterspring/Moonglade Timbermaw Hold?

  1. The two areas have the same name
  2. Both areas have Timbermaw Furbolgs living in them, and they're the same faction
  3. In the central chamber of the Felwood/Winterspring/Moonglade tunnel, there are steps down to what appears to be a door, but it's blocked off with what looks like a cross section of a tree

Now I'm not talking about whether they may or may not have been connected back in the beta days; to my knowledge they never were. I'm talking about possible lore/background history. My theory goes something like this:

  • Years ago, the Timbermaws had tunnels all through the Mount Hyjal area -- Timbermaw Hold was a vast complex of tunnels with openings in Moonglade, Azshara, the forest now called Felwood, Winterspring, and maybe even Ashenvale
  • Then Archimonde came and tried to attack Nordrassil on Mt. Hyjal
  • Malfurion used Nordrassil's power to kill Archimonde, but Nordrassil was grievously injured or possibly even died in the shockwaves this caused
  • The upheaval collapsed some of the Timbermaws' tunnels and cut off the western Timbermaws from the Azshara Timbermaws

I'm sure there's more than one possible theory, though. Maybe someday (in whatever patch or expansion opens Mt. Hyjal as a playable zone, perhaps) there will be content that makes use of all the possibilities here.

I too was also wondering about the blocked passageway in the Timbermaw Tunnels it self, is it possible to be sheeped/feared through there? Or perhaps someone with a private server could find out if there is anything behind there...
Kiltek 10:43, 22 January 2007 (EDT)

If you're a mage you can blink behind the log blocking the passageway. There's a short passage beyond, then a "fall off the edge of the world" drop - it doesn't go anywhere.DoktorG (talk) 05:24, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

A wall, afaik, like Grim Batol. User:Kirkburn/Sig 05:59, 22 January 2007 (EST)
Yes according to lore they are all the same place, and yes the tunnels were all once connected, might still be, only furbolg know for sure,;).Baggins 17:19, 17 April 2007 (EDT)
The log blocking the tunnel inside is called a door in the model viewer...--SWM2448 02:53, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Re: Maybe they were once connected?

Here's my story on the subject. Before and during the War of the Ancients, the Furbolg controlled much of northern Kalimdor. It was nearby Northrend, where they came from, and was a warmer climate for the Furbolgs to live in. However, during the War of the Ancients, Malfurion and his allies came into contact with the Shu'halo (early Tauren), the Earthen and the Furbolgs. The Earthen created a hold near Zin'Azhari (in the area which is now Azshara) and lived there. After the war was finished, the Earthen abandoned their hold and hibernated in the Titan halls of Ulduman, Uldum, and Ulduar. Certain Furbolg took up residence in the old tunnels and expanded them, reaching into Hyjal, Winterspring, Moonglade, and the forest that would eventually become Felwood. And the rest is above. -Pwnerpwner

Very useful arena trinket

Got to exalted with Timbermaw (I'm very focused) and the trinket these guys give out is worth it even at 70, in the arena they help out greatly as they heal for 500 (not much but in 2v2 that means you can field 2 dps and still have a healer) and they do roughly 200 damage from each of their lighting bolts, dont know of many other trinkets that heals and do dps :D.

Different Pages

Shouldn't this page be split into a Location page and a Faction page so it would be easier to understand? i would attempt to make the pages myself if i get the "go ahead". :)

Shattering Changes

The Shattering appears to have made the Timbermaw much more trusting; I've noticed a revised questline, the furbolg tribes give rep up to exalted, and turn-ins now give massively increased reputation. There are new questgivers near each Timbermaw settlement, and some quests appear to have been removed, including the final quest that awards home faction rep. More details required. --Merus (talk) 03:18, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

The quest N [15-30] Deadwood of the North gives 1400 rep, and N [15-30] Disarming Bears gives 1000 as of 4.0.3a. N [15-30] Mystery Goo gives 1000. N [15-30] Delivery for Donova gives 300. N [15-30] Winterfall Runners gives 1000. N [15-30] Turning the Earth gives 1000. N [15-30] Bearzerker gives 1400. N [15-30] The Final Piece gives 1000. Threat of the Winterfell gives 1400. N [15-30] Scalding Signs gives 1400. High Chief Winterfall gives 2000. Jamash (talk) 12:02, 2 December 2010 (UTC).
