Taryn Mills

While poking around on his site, I was watching Domino. In the credits, Lucy Liu played a lady named Taryn Mills. Since Domino is based on a true story, it's possible maybe someone working for Blizz just might have seen Domino "a little too many times". Mr.X8 22:14, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

When did the most famous parts of the Taryn Mills story take place? Anything that would have made her particularly famous before Warcraft II? Tarren Mill first appeared in Warcraft II, 1995.Baggins 23:21, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Well the real Domino took place in like probably the 80's. I could be wrong though. But I was wrong about them getting the name from the movie Mr.X8 19:59, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Ok, wikipedia said she was born in '69 so it's possible they could of heard the story. Mr.X8 04:16, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

To bring up a point, just because Taryn Mills was said to be born in 69 doesn't mean she herself was famous in 69. Babies are rarely famous unless they come from famous family's. What was her maiden name, and did she come from a famous family?Baggins 05:04, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Also a movie being based on a real story doesn't mean it follows the true story 100% accurately or have every real person involved. Movies tend to have "composite characters" fictional characters added in who are based off many real people... or they make up characters completely to make things more interesting. I can't seem to find references to anyone alive that's really named Taryn Mills. Do you have an article on the real "Taryn Mills" proving she existed?Baggins 05:07, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Oh, sry meant to say she was a bounty hunter in the 90's and now that I read the article Im pretty sure she was just made up. So thatactually means the creators of the movie played Warcraft, not the other way around.Mr.X8 08:31, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Well, I think your mixing up two seperate people. Domino was the bounty hunter. Taryn Mills was just some psychologist character in the movie as far as I can tell. Though, it could just be a coincidence. Taryn is an actual name, and Mills is common last name, at least I knew quite a few Mills. One of my professers right now is named Mills. Also I checked with IMDB, and apparently her name is actually Taryn Miles in the credits, but prounounced "Mills".Baggins 13:29, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Did some research and there is a place called Terran Hills in Wales, near the village of Abergynowyn (which has a mill btw). What does this mean? Well we already know that Common has alot of Welsh and English influence, so Terran may be derived from Welsh or English roots.Baggins 13:42, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Wow, so this means almost everything is connected to each other somehow Mr.X8 17:09, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Sure its called six degrees of seperation... ;)Baggins 19:35, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Corpses on town hall?

So I was passing through TM the other day and noticed two human male corpses hanging, even swaying delicately in the breeze, above the entry to the town hall. Have they always been there? I assume they're supposed to be Hillsbrad folk strung up for display? Eljaspero (talk · contr) 20:53, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Yup. They always had them there. I remember seeing them long time ago when I was first leveling. Neakal (talk) 05:02, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Alchemy Trainer?

I don't see an alchemy trainer (Serge Hinott) in Tarren Mill. The coordinates 62,19 (as well as maybe some others for NPC's in this town) appear to be way up in the hills east of Strahnbrad. I'm new to the game, so if I'm misunderstanding something, just delete this comment - tks!--MrPerfidy (talk) 00:41, 9 December 2010 (UTC)--

When they merged Hillsbrad and Alterac, all the coordinates were basically rendered obsolete. I'm also not sure that the list of NPCs has been updated to match the new version of the town. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 00:59, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
