Talk:Small Obsidian Shard
I'm debating whether or not this item and its associated items were added in 1.9 or 1.10, because of a line in the patch notes of 1.10 that says the following: "The Statues in Ahn'Qiraj now drop chunks of obsidian that can be crafted by blacksmiths in to various types of armor. The Recipes come from both Cenarion Circle vendors as well as drops and other sources." and because of both this item and the others that are associated with it, have an ItemID higher than some items that were put into the game at Patch 1.10, like Dungeon Set 2.
What I'm not sure of though, is whether or not Small Obsidian Chunk and Large Obsidian Chunk was added in 1.9 or 1.10, creating a debate on whether or not 
[Small Obsidian Shard] was put into the game at 1.9 or 1.10, because why would the mining nodes exist if you can't mine from them to get what they produce? Junkerd (talk) 21:09, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
- Sounds like 1.10 to me, especially since there aren't any naturally-occurring obsidian nodes; they only come from killing enemies in Ahn'Qiraj. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 21:19, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
