Patch 1.11

Hey, are you sure those goblins were added in that patch, or are you just basing this on Wowhead? That was the patch in which Wowhead went live, so unfortunately, anything from before that patch is also shown as having been added in that patch. It could very well be that they were added then, I can't quite remember for most of them in any case. However there is sadly no way to distinguish between content that was added in 1.11 and older content on Wowhead. PeterWind (talk) 13:49, 7 October 2017 (UTC)

Images

Hey! Great seeing all those old pages updated. When it comes to ingame screenshots, we tend to go for jpgs, due to the smaller filesize. I hope you won't mind me reuploading the "Hakkari Oracle" pic as a jpg :) PeterWind (talk) 12:36, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

Yeah sure no problem, I had an issue when uploading it, something about the page telling me that the .jpg file format doesn't match MIME? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Junkerd (talk · contr).

I think that just happens when trying to upload a file with one filename extension to a destination with another. I'm no expert on that area though :) PeterWind (talk) 13:02, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

Linking

Hey, great job on the vanilla content so far but I just wanted to let you know that I've noticed edits on some of the patch articles, particularly 1.10.0, it'd be better off when creating links such as [[Mastery:_Ignite|Ignite]] is to remove the underscore for the page you're linking the text to. Like so: [[Mastery: Ignite|Ignite]]. It's just cleaner and nicer and on the bright side, doesn't affect the linking whatsoever. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 01:16, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

Alright thanks, I'll keep that in mind for future edits, it was just easier for me in terms of copying and pasting it between articles. Now that you're here, do you know how to link certain Icons along with a spell, for example if I linked [[Mastery:_Ignite|Ignite]] it would just show up as a hyper link without its talent icon, I remember seeing it in an edit some time ago but can't remember where. I'm not sure about anything that can do that, but maybe a template exists. Although I don't see a reason to show the icon at all, even without changing the text of the patch notes itself. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 01:40, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

Using a piped link to change the link's name (e.g. [[Mastery: Ignite|Ignite]]) will prevent it from displaying the icon. If you want the icon to show up, just link to the spell itself and it will automatically display the spell name listed on the page (e.g. [Mastery: Ignite]). -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 08:24, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

As you displayed yourself, I'd have to do the entire name of the talent [Mastery: Ignite] and in the case of patch notes, I try to keep them as authentic to the actual notes posted by Blizzard and the method doesn't work with spells where they've been renamed throughout expansions or in case of both items and spells, where Blizzard did a typo, which can be seen here with both  [Panther Hide Sack] and  [Royal Scepter of Vek'lor] (Junkerd (talk) 14:07, 1 November 2017 (UTC))

{{abilities|Tendon Rip|Reduces an enemy's movement speed by 25% for 8 sec.|id=3604|image=ability_criticalstrike}} This will display as:  Tendon Rip — Reduces an enemy's movement speed by 25% for 8 sec. If I remove the description, remove the ID part and change out the first part: abilities, I can make it look like this:  [Panther Hide Sack], which is: {{item|Panther Hide Sack|image=inv_misc_bag_14}} But I want the item's icon to show up, like it does with Tendon Rip.
