The client build for the BlizzCon demo is 4.0.0.10287 :) Kirkburn  talk  contr 22:46, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

4.0.0.12911

Needs to be updated with 4.0.0.12911 .

This is the version that the downloadable installer off the client downloads screen installs (https://us.battle.net/account/management/download/)

PTR 5.0.4 builds

Since my account is flagged for Mists of Pandaria Beta, I cannot add information about PTR 5.0.4, since I have no access to. I can only add Closed Beta client builds, not both Closed Beta and PTR builds, until PTR 5.1.0 (that would be the first content patch after the Launch of MoP) is online.

So, I would like to ask others to keep track on PTR 5.0.4 client builds.

Alpha patch 6.0.1 has been launched!

I noticed that a ahort while ago, Warlords of Draenor got in alpha status. I would like the alpha testers to edit this and related pages, as long as they do not violate the NDA. Hanskamp (talk) 22:12, 5 April 2014 (UTC)

There's no NDA this time around. Feel free to list the build information you see. --k_d3 04:05, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

The Other Warcraft Games

Instead of just having the World of Warcraft builds, could I include the Warcraft 3, Warcraft 2 and the Warcraft 1 builds in new sections under the World of Warcraft Pre-release section, or would a new article(s) be appropriate? — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 16:36, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

I'd say this should remain focused on just the MMO. A new article for the RTS ones would likely be more appropriate. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 20:28, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
Alright, thanks. :) — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 21:26, 5 August 2014 (UTC)

Separate sections

The Alpha and Beta builds are on the same server. But it'd be best to know what was the last version during each phase. That's why they're apart in the first place and slapped a note stating what it is. On the Beta server, just a different phase. Also Developer Region is the same as the Internal Test Region. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 09:03, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

Everyone can miss some things. Here are the two good sources I know for collecting builds. Blizztrack and bnet.marlam.inSurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 09:21, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
I don't get it. These are the servers. "Beta" is not a server cluster, yet you labeled it as such and gave it a build. If they want to know what the last build of the previous beta was they'll go to the appropriate section (Legion) and check it out. I mean the title itself, which you chose, is "current patches and versions" so I don't know why you're putting past stuff in there. And yeah I've been using both myself, in addition to a ngdp tracker.-- MyMindWontQuiet 09:27, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
Yea, I know what servers there are. I know Beta and Alpha isn't a server cluster. Server should then state the full name of each because the Beta server is pretty much called "Beta Region". This is for clarity. Alpha/Beta is not a server, it is called Beta and only Beta. The title "current patches and versions" was before all the server clusters, just to log the latest versions for each. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 09:36, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
I don't think you understand, go check Slack. We won't call the "Server" column "Beta", because it's not just for beta. Similarly, we don't call the "Developer" server Alpha. Why ? Because, since you don't know, it turns out that its real name is "WoW Alpha". But is it used for Alpha ? No. So yes, the server cluster is technically called "wow_beta" as I have shown you, but it's not used for beta, it's used for alpha *and* beta. Thus we will put "Alpha/Beta" in the "Server" column. Same for the Developer one, we won't call Dev builds "Alpha", it's just the name they gave it 50 years ago and it stuck. So it's simple, we will follow the NGDP Program Codes which you can see here, and we will call the "Server" column appropriately. -- MyMindWontQuiet 09:41, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
Can't get on Slack atm but I don't think you're explaining everything. I'm just gonna ask you a question. Do you want to go by the these codes here or what is listed on the login screen? Even if it is an alpha build on the login screen, it'll say Beta. We already discussed this. If we go by the code, than the "Beta Region" would be "Alpha/Beta" but have them separated. As of right now, the last seen patch for the beta phase is 7.0.3. All I'm saying is don't combine them into one thing, have the phases separted under the server like I have it setup already. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 09:52, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
That's the thing Suraf, if we really went by pure, pure code, we'd have to rename Developper (or Internal or however you want to call it) to "Alpha". And "Alpha/Beta" would have to be renamed to "Beta". And so the table would list Alpha and Beta stuff.. while none of them would actually, technically, be about Alpha or Beta. And that would be very confusing. So we'll go by what's in the link which is much clearer : wow_beta -> Alpha/Beta, and wow_dev -> Developer. -- MyMindWontQuiet 10:00, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
Okay. Let's go by the codes. One issue solved. Although, still one issue persists. Internal was already seen on a login screen, and typically whatever is there means the "server" name. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 09:54, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
Technically we don't know what that "(Internal)" was (it probably just was a personal client type for the demonstration), how it relates to wowdev (it probably didn't, NGDP branches don't have to be connected to client types), and we'll never know. -- MyMindWontQuiet 10:01, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
Keep the phasing separated under the Alpha/Beta server, don't combine them. The last known build for the beta phase of the Alpha/Beta server was in Legion. Once Bfa hits Beta, the Beta phase will be updated to reflect that. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 03:56, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
No, for the reasons discussed on Slack that we agreed with. -- MyMindWontQuiet 08:34, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
