Talk:Isle of Conquest
Location
Perhaps the landmass in the picture just North of Northrend (Under Algalon's hand) is the Isle of Conquest? --N'Nanz (talk) 11:05, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- It cannot be Kalimdor, we can see it on the left and we can guess it does not extend to such latitude.
- Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 12:12, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- The "peninsula" on the right side is Azshara, what you see is Winterspring. --g0urra[T҂C] 12:14, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- You can see that it can exist on that latitude; see File:Azeroth world.jpg and File:WorldMap-World.jpg. --g0urra[T҂C] 12:15, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- If we look at File:Azeroth world.jpg, the thing north of Northrend is clearly not Winterspring in Kalimdor.
- Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 12:21, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- The circle on the map is the White Lady it seems, she passed just on the bad moment for a screen xD
- So, does an RPG book speak of this foreign land? :)

- Anything about The North Pole ?
- Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 12:40, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
How do we know there's "never" been anything on the other side?
For all we know there could be: We've never actually been able to GO to the other side or anything, and while the dwarves are master explorers (they've got a globe or something in Ironforge with the other side of Azeroth on it), they likely have not touched the other side anymore then anyone else has.
Unless it clearly states somewhere that there's NOTHING on the other side, then it's not for us to decide whether or not there's never been anything there. Big, furry, and insane (Have a conversation with the homocidal furry!) (Come and stalk me! ...No, wait, please don't.) 12:55, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- I meant that there has never been anything on the other side on any globe of Azeroth, so unless they retcon that there probably won't have anything on the other side. --Pcj (T •C ) 13:06, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
ehy guys I told "North of Northrend" in the Algalon image, can you see it? Kalimdor is South West, the circle was not intentional, just the screencapture. And in the other image i truely see something like a North Pole. ATM there is nothing to the other side of Azeroth because Blizzard never speak of anything to the other side, before the Black Temple was opened we neither knew What form Azeroth had. Wait and see... --N'Nanz (talk) 18:50, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Like I said...nobody has ever BEEN to the other side of Azeroth. Therefore, the globes can't have anything on the other side of them, and therefore, we cannot say that there's NOTHING there. There may be, there may not be, we don't know. Big, furry, and insane (Have a conversation with the homocidal furry!) (Come and stalk me! ...No, wait, please don't.) 19:46, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- I meant including globes inside Halls of Lighting, since there is nothing there besides Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, and Northrend I don't think there is anything. --Pcj (T •C ) 19:49, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, so in fact it is located a not even two leagues, west of the Onslaught Harbor. (IoC seen from Onslaught Harbor) (Situation on the World Map)
- Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz)
- The BG is instanced xD My map is just an horrible copy/paste of the BG map on the world map (you can see parts of the world as decorations outside of the island)
- Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 00:46, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ahhhh, got your problem! The screen taken from the Habor yes, but the Harbor in the BG. I've passed through the Fatigue (droodpowa!) and landed in the Harbor, from where I took the shot.

Just to say for the record that IoC has been confirmed by Blizzard to be West of Icecrown, North-West of Sholazar Basin, here in their MoP blog.
Levels
What levels will this battleground be available to? --Undeadhippies (talk) 18:03, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- Probably the same as Strand of Ancients, in order to lock up the access to WotLK-user only.
- Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 18:11, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- Just confirmed in patch notes today, it's always best to wait because you know how Blizzard likes to throw curves now and again--Saphiredragon89 (talk) 23:44, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
Gunships
I had not been in the BG myself, but the screens shaked me. Are the two gunship hovering (bombarding?) the zone, the The Skybreaker and Orgrim's Hammer? Or two brand new ones?

Siege weapons
Can someone please add a section with the War Machines ? I "BARELY" got inside this BG once and only got to use a Turret, not that i don't mind raiding but i want to see more from this Battleground, cheers --DarckArchon Might of Aiur 15:21, January 12, 2010 (UTC)
Wait Time...
Solfaris - So this may not be the place to ask this but can anyone give me a reason why I can Queue for this BG, wait 5 hours & still not get in? Seriously I reached level 71 about a week ago & still I have never been to the Isle of Conquest & it is really starting to piss me off! Did they only make 1 instance of this per Battlegroup or something!? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Solfaris (talk · contr).
- There are two tiers; 71-79, and 80. Not many people below level 80 queue for Isle of Conquest. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 20:57, March 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Pretty much, yeah. And it's a self-maintaining situation. Since you have to have at least X people of both sides, it takes a substantial time to find that many. People log, go in random dungeons, or etc and leave the queue, making it yet harder.... BTW, you can use

so in-game everyone hates this battleground, why? The most information I've gotten is "it suck!" but no one says why it sucks, it seems like a good bg to me. (lvl 72 character so the only way i've been able to get on it is from the ptr)
I'm new btw so if I do something wrong please tell me so I can learn —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Msd012 (talk · contr).
- See the above about signing your posts. :) Hate it? I expect the general theme is "the server/battlegroup I am in is dominated by (faction X), and they always win." It's a common complaint. Just looked up my own (main) character; 1 win, 15 losses according to the armory. I was achievement-grinding, and pretty much gave up after getting the one win.
- Blizzard may (or may not) have altered the battleground since my own experience. Since I never went back.... --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 20:13, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
Thank you, finally I know why no one goes on IOC =D, I think the rest if my server had the same experience and only goes on in the lvl 80 bracket (I'm looking at this on my iPhone and the how to sign part is whited out what is it???) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Msd012 (talk · contr).
- Four consecutive tilde characters ('~') in a row inserts the usual timestamp and user/talk page links. Usual Wiki convention is to preceed it with a pair of hyphens. Thus: --~~~~. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 19:47, March 17, 2010 (UTC)
