Old discussion
In Jewish folklore, they were created by a rabbi in the ghetto of Prague to do his bidding ( probally killing anti- semmites)—The preceding unsigned comment was added by WoWWiki-Mr.X (talk · contr).

Average Golems
What type are the average golems in WoW? By average I mean most common, like the type in Blackrock Depths Mr.X8 01:48, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
- Its what is usually called a "stone watcher".Baggins 13:19, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Cleanup
I propose that this page be reorganized into an overview of what a golem in Warcraft is, followed by a list of different golem types. This page already attempts to do this, but it handles it poorly. For instance, the main way this categorizes golem types is a quote from page 85 of Monster Guide "Golems of stone, metal, straw, and even flesh exist." Also, the golems from Warcraft III and WoW are completely different in all things but the sharing of the concept of being a golem. I feel the list should be made up of fewer pages, and branch from them, with pages like:
- Golem (Warcraft III) for these guys made by mages
- War golem for these guys (a bit puzzling, as there are several dark iron/iron ones called this too)
- Flesh golem for just the Warcraft III one, but maybe with links to the Scourge ones
- Golem (titanic) or Stone golem or stone watcher/keeper or something for the ones commonly seen in WoW
- The cannon-handed ones as a separate page or a separate section
- The new Dark iron golem model of golem
- Other golems like the Harvest golem, Drakkari golem, and Arcane golem
- One-shot lore mentions of golem types such as the "Dragon golem"
