Creep tribe
In WC3, when Arthas sets assault to Quel'Thalas, there are some neutral creeps who appear to be Gnolls, who have greenish skin and who are called "Forest creatures" by Kel'Thuzad's ghost. Which tribe do they belong to ?--Kirochi 14:08, 16 June 2006 (EDT)
A. It's just a necromancer who says it, not Kel'Thuzad. B. He says "creatures of the forest". C. They're just Gnolls, Gnolls are known to have settlements in Quel'Thalas. There is a tribe of Gnolls in the Ghostlands but they haven't been added to this page yet.--Mannerheim 02:25, 19 April 2007 (EDT)
Rot Hides.
One of the Named NPC Gnolls in that level is a rare spawn Rot Hide Gnoll in WoW. They must have either been a Tribe that was completly wiped out and raised as Rot Hides, or they were Mud Snouts.
Earthen?

Low Intelligence?!
No way, I'm changing this, Gnolls aren't that stupid. A. Some can speak flawless common, such as Snarlmane. B. They are known to mine gold using sophisticated mining techniches. C. They wear armour. D. They are known to build settlements, I know they don't have them in WoW, but those cute little cottages in Warcraft III speak for themselves.--Mannerheim 02:33, 19 April 2007 (EDT)
- I agree. Gnolls are actually quite intelligent, perhaps on an early Azotha-like level. They just haven't had time to "evolve" fully yet (as the article states, they are a young race). Give them time, and perhaps we will see a gnoll capital city in the future, with flying machines. I bet Sayge or Hogger (or both) will lead them. That would be cool. Gnolls possibly joining the Alliance?
Do you think the Alliance might use the Worgen to try to convince the Gnolls or some of the Gnolls to join the Alliance because the Gnolls and Worgen are similar except that Worgens have a human and Worgen form. The Alliance might use the Worgen to kill Gnoll leaders and take over Gnoll tribes because the strongest rule in Gnoll society. Just a idea. Rimor Conscientia (talk) 18:49, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Gnolls are akin to hyenas, which are actually much closer to cats than wolves (see "Hyaenidae" on [1]). Okay, so that was maybe needless info ... but otherwise, I think that's very unlikely.
