Hogger?

The line about Hogger can be misleading, since the only similarity is that he is often killed and kited and all that. Neutral, helpless, and just the target of a pickpocket quest? That's Gamon. Hostile, leader of a bunch of mobs in a starting zone, and the target of a kill-quest? That's Hogger. --Xavius 08:35, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

I will now change that line to something more suitable. IconSmall Satyr.gif XAVIUS (This Clockwork Universe) 18:03, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Done! Changed to "Gamon is treated by Horde players much the same way as Hogger is by Alliance players." (what is it with my sig?) IconSmall Satyr.gif XAVIUS (This Clockwork Universe) 18:10, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Gear

What gear is he wearing? Zarnks 22:59, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Gamon = the new Sir Breel

Not having a high lvl horde character, I didn't find out about this guy until now. I am surprised no old time EQ players noticed the similarities between Gamon and Sir Breel.

Sir Breel was a corrupt paladin in the north freeport bank, a zone that was the center point for player trading for many years. Killing him actually increased your faction with the paladin guards in north freeport but made you KOS to the guards in west and east freeport. This wasn't a big issue however as freeport was designed to be passed through by KOS factions with relative ease. So to ease the boredom of selling for hours and hours, Sir Breel became everyone's punching bag and was well farmed by evil players to gain friendly faction with the guards (allowing them to sit at the bank instead of the cave used by the kos factions to move around).

Remote locations

"...Players have kited Gamon to remote locations such as... Onyxia's Lair..." Haha, that is brilliant. Also how? Clalen (talk) 03:04, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Gamon Wotlk

Could a dk confirm if he still attacks during the first visit of OG? --Mordecay (talk) 10:50, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Enigma

Strangely, the patch note "He is tired of being killed over and over again. He is now located in the new Orgrimmar inn and is a level 85 Elite." does not appear on the related patch page. In fact, I can't find it anywhere else online, except in a single forum post on MMO champ (which may well be copied from wowpedia) - even fragments of that quote fail to find any other sources in google. I'd suspect it was phony, except I have the impression I remember reading it myself in the patch notes. Anyway, does anyone have any explanation for this enigma? -- Taohinton (talk) 22:17, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

Oh that's definitely user added flavor. Unless it was a patch note from a very early build that was later removed from the official notes. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 22:43, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
