Paladin?

I played the orc campaign, oddly he's listed as a "paladin" in his class discription under his name, if you click on him.Baggins 18:11, 28 April 2007 (EDT)

Game glitch? Mechanic requirement? Might actually be a paladin. Difficult to say. It's possible, I suppose. --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 19:18, 28 April 2007 (EDT)
He sort-of used Arthas weilding Frostmorne's model. I think it was just a 'Mechanic requirement' or that Blizz didn't want to spent the time to fully customize his unit data. --SWM2448 19:40, 28 April 2007 (EDT)
In anycase, in future if I add questionable classes that are listed for a character in specific sources, I'll probably list tgem as (TFT), (WC3), or (RPG) next to the name. That way people know if its likely more of a game classification more so than possible lore. This would go for Alleria Windrunner strange Barbarian classification, for example, or Elune's Healer classification. I'm not saying it might not be lore, just that there is some question to it.Baggins 19:52, 28 April 2007 (EDT)

Where, and in which Orc Campaign does he appear in? --Jpsblue 04:49, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

He's a fairly major character in the Frozen Throne orc campaign. -- Dark T Zeratul 11:14, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Yeah I gathered that, but the campaign just ends. His forces are seen often, but I didn't see him actually appear himself.--Jpsblue 01:40, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
He does, and Rexxar kills him. The last two (or three, I forget exactly how many) missions in the campaign were patched in later and not part of the game at release, which may be why you haven't played them. -- Dark T Zeratul 07:50, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

I think it's only a mechanic requirement because he has none paladin ability but somethink unique. He casts cyclone, howl of terror (WarcraftIII), forked lightning, summon sea elemental and monsoon. Let's say somethink like a sailor mage --N'Nanz 10:16, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

WC2 box art

I can't help wondering if the human depicted on the WC2 box is, in fact, Daelin Proudmoore. His outfit and facial hair match his appearance from WC3 quite well. Is it OK to add his picture from the WC2 box to this article? PRH (talk) 13:59, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

No. You'll notice that his face is roughly identical to the footman on the box of WC1. Is it possible? Yes. Is there enough of a case to put it in the article? No, not at the moment. Furthermore, who is the orc? It isn't likely that they would have one of the characters be a lore character (he wasn't even an NPC at the time), and the other be a random nonentity.--Ragestorm (talk · contr) 14:33, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

He didn't mean the Battle.Net edition box, but this one. --Andersmusician$ 06:21, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
I think the faces on the box covers have stayed the same since Warcraft: Orcs & Humans. They just change the clothing, background, etc.. I don't think Daelin Proudmoore was in Warcraft: Orcs & Humans so that wouldn't be him. Rolandius Paladin.gif (talk - contr) 06:45, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

What? No grave?

Was he creamated? Is there any grave for him in Theramoore? Its clear he still has a corpse at the end of the Frozen throne campaign. --"The Scourge shall prevail!" - Scourge-Lord Morec (talk) 16:19, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

It's more likely that his corpse was taken back to Kul Tiras and buried there. INV Misc Orb 04.pngXavius, the Satyr Lord 20:05, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
King Terenas was cremated, so Admiral Proudmoore may have been cremated as well. On the other hand, the circumstances surrounding their deaths made cremation particularly feasible in the former case, and less so in the latter. Alpha Sigma Sigma (talk) 11:10, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

Memetic

This image and phrase is kinda memetic in the lore community http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd271/Yaskaleh/daelin.jpg Should it be mentioned?anywhere?--Ashbear160 (talk) 11:55, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

With the Alliance

Even if that bit from the game was canon it would be only temporary because sources after that point in time (Beyond the Dark Portal novel, Day of the Dragon, RotLK and ObaH and the History Chapters) still treated him as a member of the Alliance. --Mordecay (talk) 22:43, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

Please, can you translate ObaH? Also, Kul Tiras is said to have left the Alliance (on the Alliance article) and Kul Tiras and is not flagged as Alliance on its own articleGabrirt (talk · contributions) 23:07, 22 July 2016 (UTC)
He means Of Blood and Honor. The "Alliance" article is stupid then. The only thing that says that Daelin Proudmoore ever left the Alliance is the orc campaign of Beyond the Dark Portal. I do not know what to think about that.--SWM2448 00:00, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
Loreology said something about Kul Tiras not being with the Alliance. I am not so sure whether he meant the Alliance of Lordaeron of the modern Alliance. --Mordecay (talk) 09:08, 23 July 2016 (UTC)

Coastal settlements

The "After the First War, orcs began to attack coastal settlements in Kul Tiras[citation needed] and the surrounding shores of Lordaeron and Khaz Modan" line seems to be part of the manual citation from Aegwynn's "As the shores of Lordearon[sic] had already been savaged by small bands of Orc marauders, Lothar found a strong ally in his longtime friend Admiral Daelin Proudmoore of the seaside kingdom of Kul Tiras" line and Kul Tiras' nation description "When the Orcs began to raid the coastal settlements of Lordaeron, Admiral Proudmoore took it upon himself to construct an armada of warships". Lordaeron is used in the continental sense in both. --ShadowShade81413 (talk) 15:52, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
