Patch number

There's a comment on Wowhead saying that the quest was added in 2.1, with no other comments from before this patch. Is it just this breadcrumb quest or the whole questline? -- Mordecay (talk) 09:35, 24 January 2022 (UTC)

i think that comment is referring to the two NPCs that give this quest, since it says "both" were added in 2.1. but ye, it seems probable this quest was added along with them. the wayback machine's archives for it are much later than the ones for the next quest. on alla, this quest was first archived in november 2007; Distraction at Manaforge B'naar was archived in february 2007. the quest ID is also larger than any of the others in the questline. Wowhead is not always entirely reliable with some of the early BC content, erroneously labeling many quests, NPCs, and items as being added in 2.1 or 2.2. This entire questline was definitely in at launch in 2.0.3. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 07:01, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

Though, now that I look at the IDs as Eithris suggested, you may actually me correct that this breadcrumb was added later. The other IDs surrounding it are a bunch of other breadcrumb quests leading to the Netherstorm, and quests from the 2.1 Netherwing questline. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 07:04, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
