Soul Swap is an Affliction Warlock PvP talent. Learning it also grants [Soul Swap: Exhale].

Patch changes

• Patch 11.0.2 (2024-08-13):
  • Re-added as a level 40 Affliction PvP talent (was a row 6 Affliction talent).
  • Now has a 50% reduced global cooldown for its cast and exhale.
    
• Patch 11.0.0 (2024-07-23): Removed.
  
• Hotfix (2024-01-22): Resolved an issue causing the cooldown of Soul Swap to sometimes display incorrectly.
  
• Hotfix (2023-03-28): Fixed an issue causing Soul Swap Exhale to bypass spell reflection and spell redirect mechanics. The initial cast of Soul Swap will continue to bypass these effects.

  Old: Inhales your damage over time effects from the target, preserving their duration. Your next use of Soul Swap within 10 sec will exhale those damage over time effects onto the new target and deal 6% of the target's total health in Shadow damage.
  

• Patch 7.1.5 (2017-01-10): Removed.
  
• Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Changed to an honor talent. No longer cost a Soul Shard but has a 20 second cooldown. Now lasts for 10 seconds (up from 3 seconds) and deals 6% of the target's total health in Shadow damage.
  
• Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Now costs 1 Soul Shard.
  
• Patch 5.4.0 (2013-09-10): No longer does any damage, and now copies damage-over-time effects instead of just moving them without needing a glyph. Copied effects now once again preserve their power and duration. Duration has been reduced to 3 seconds (down from 20 seconds).
  
• Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Now a level 79 Affliction ability (was a tier 4 Affliction talent).

  Soul Swap Tier 4 Affliction warlock talent 40 yd range 18% of base mana Instant You instantly deal 196 damage, and remove your Shadow damage-over-time effects from the target. For 20 sec afterwards, the next target you cast Soul Swap: Exhale on will be afflicted by the Shadow damage-over-time effects and suffer 196 damage. You cannot Soul Swap to the same target.
