Soar is a dracthyr racial ability. It is learned from the quest    [58-60] Stretch Your Wings. It allows the dracthyr to take to the skies in the same manner as a dragonriding mount would, and additionally starting with a small aerial ascent that does not cost [Vigor].

The character is technically "mounted" while soaring and has limited ability for the purposes of object or item interactions, and will incur the same error message as mounted characters.

Patch changes

• Patch 10.2.5 (2024-01-16): Soar dragonriding is available with [Empowered Soaring], which is learned after dragonriding is unlocked on the account and after the Evoker has completed the Forbidden Reach starting experience. Cooldown reduced to 10 seconds with [Expedited Takeoff].
  
• Hotfix (2022-11-22): Soar can no longer be cast while rooted.
  
• Hotfix (2022-11-18): Fixed an issue where Soar would persist after being summoned.
