The Slitherscale tribe of saurok are found on the Windward Isle killing the local population of cloud serpents and drink their eggs. At first, they were afraid to approach the creatures, but after a while they began to steal the cloud serpent eggs directly from the nests[1] and even start to kill the adults.[2] During the Alliance-Horde war, members of the Order of the Cloud Serpent tried to reason with the saurok with peace, but that effort failed,[3] so they sent adventurers to steal the saurok's weapons,[4] to kill the saurok, including their leader Slitherscale Lizard-Lord,[5] and to recover the serpent eggs.
By the time of the awakening of the Dragon Isles, the saurok have been driven away from Windward Isle by the Order of the Cloud Serpent and adventurers.[6]
