Sentinel Tara Thenysil[1][2] is a night elf quest giver located in Astranaar in Ashenvale.
History
Tara's friend Kaela Shadowspear was sent to the Stonetalon Mountains along with a gnome mage, which she considered a sign of trouble, so she asked an Alliance adventurer to check on Kaela. Kaela thought that Tara was doing well with the Sentinels to be sequestering adventurers for other tasks, and was proud of her.[1] After helping the adventurer helped the pair in their endeavors, Tara learned about the duo being well on their way to stopping the Venture Company in the mountainous area,[2] and sent the adventurer to be received by Tyrande Whisperwind herself in Darnassus.[3]
After the Cataclysm, the Horde invaded Ashenvale and attacked Astranaar, leaving it burning. Thenysil commanded for the fires to be put out[4] and to use glaive throwers to shoot down Hellscream's Hellions and their Watch Wind Riders to halt the Horde's bombing.[5] With the town secured, she sent the adventurer to aid Sentinel Velene Starstrike and the survivors from Silverwind Refuge at Stardust Spire.[6]
After the Horde's march through Ashenvale that culminated in the Burning of Teldrassil, Thenysil commanded the remaining Sentinels in the forest. Horde forces were sent to take her down.[7]
After Amirdrassil bloomed on the Dragon Isles, Tara can be seen speaking with Myara Nightsong in Arlithrien Lodge.
