Segallia is a dracthyr located in the Caldera of the Menders in the Forbidden Reach, tending to a Soar Enhancer.

She later appears at the Bluefeather Cliffs in Thaldraszus, where she tried to introduce herself to the Screechflight harpies and was nearly eaten by them. She was rescued by Harleen Chirpsnide's mechanical chickens and has since decided to help Professor Chirpsnide with her work.[1] Harleen gave her Feather-Plucker 3300‎ to obtain feathers from a nearby cave, but she was ambushed by the harpies, and the plucker broke. She sent an adventurer to collect its pieces, and she then repaired the plucker.[2] After recovering feathers for a disguise,[3] she accompanied Harleen and the adventurer further to the harpy nests[4] and prepared a rocket for the adventurer to use. After the adventurer defeated the Screechflight matriarch, Segallia became Harleen's assistant ornithologist, much to her joy.[5]

Gossip

I'd only ever known Dracthyr before being released from the creche. Even though these harpies are continually trying to eat me, they're just one of the many new races we all get to be exposed to now!

That being said, the Professor is certainly one-of-a-kind. I wish I could face harrowing adventures with as much confidence as she does!

Notes

  • In N [68-70] A Roc-ing Appetite, Harleen Chirpsnide originally mentioned the name "Tharzera", which was later changed to Segallia. Tharzera may have been Segallia's name earlier in development.
