Searing Gorge storyline

Zone map

Searing Gorge is a neutral level 15-30 zone in southwestern Khaz Modan of the Eastern Kingdoms. The main storyline deals with the Dark Iron clan's involvement with the Twilight's Hammer and the forces of Ragnaros.

Players are directed to Searing Gorge upon the conclusion of the Badlands storyline, starting on the path from Badlands at Thorium Advance, and then looped around the zone via Thorium Point and Iron Summit, then down into the Cauldron and the Slag Pit to deal with Archduke Calcinder, the leader of Ragnaros' forces.

The progression of the storyline is tracked in the achievement  [Searing Gorge Quests].

Upon the conclusion of the Searing Gorge storyline, players are directed through Blackrock Mountain to the Burning Steppes.
