Ryan Metcalf was a Character Artist for World of Warcraft.[1] He joined Blizzard Entertainment in 2012[2] and worked notably on Warlords of Draenor and Legion concepts. He has also provided art for Hearthstone. Ryan Metcalf left Blizzard November 8th 2017, after 5 years, and became Art Director on an unannounced title at Noxon OC.[3]

- Metcalf was paid tribute in Warlords of Draenor through the NPC Ryan Metcalf, whose remains are discovered in a cave after being eaten alive by podlings.[4] Another likely reference to him comes in the form of the Legion NPC Cote "Shepherd" Metcalf, who is instrumental in the acquisition of
[The Woolomancer's Charge], an artifact appearance that Metcalf helped design.[5] - Metcalf is the brother of Blizzard lead web designer Mike Metcalf.[6]
