The Rotbrain undead (or Rotbrains) are a group of undead, raised by val'kyr in the service of Sylvanas Windrunner, who congregate in the Rotbrain Encampment. These undead are unlike Forsaken as they do not follow the shadow and have refused to assimilate into Forsaken society. Never really joining the Forsaken, the rotbrains had run away and wandered alone, until the newly risen Marcus Redpath gathered them together under his leadership. Under Redpath's command the rotbrain planned to attack the Forsaken town of Deathknell. The Deathguard in Deathknell received intelligence indicating an imminent organised attack by rotbrain undead in the area and sent newly raised, loyal Forsaken to combat the rotbrain and their deranged leader.
The group was ultimately destroyed in its infancy by Forsaken adventurers.
