This item can also be found inside the 
[Bag of Fishing Treasures] rewarded from completing Marcia Chase's daily fishing quests in Dalaran. The bag may contain 3 to 5 of them.
Drinking Pygmy Oil will give you a 10 min. buff and reduce your character's size. This effect is stackable and further applications continue to shrink your character. 8-10 stacks will turn you into a "pygmy", actually a gnome with a voodoo mask.
Each stack reduces your character's size by 3%.

Trivia
- Pygmy oil results in the smallest size decrease available to players. Whereas most other items reduce size by ~20%+. Making pygmy oil a good item for reducing character size in roleplay. However, with a short duration, it is made less appealing.
- The item was made prior to pygmies being actually introduced to the game, thus it makes the player appears as a gnome with a
[Big Voodoo Mask].
Patch changes
Patch 10.0.2 (2022-11-15): Stacks to 1000, up from 200. 
Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Stacks to 200, up from 20. 
Hotfix (2011-04-27): Pygmy Oil should correctly be turning players into gnomes, not funky error cubes.
