The subject of this article or section was part of Legion Invasions, a world event that heralded the beginning of the Burning Legion's third invasion of Azeroth prior to Legion.
Putrid Alchemists are wyrmtongues that appears at two places during the Demon Invasions: in the Ruins of Southshore, where they can be seen running after the maggots and rats of the area, and also at the Kor'kron refinery in the Northern Barrens, where they can be seen messing up with the goblin machines. Judging by their name they presumably do this for alchemical reasons.
