Prospector Varana is a dwarf located at Dun Argol in Grizzly Hills.
At the time of the war against the Lich King, along with Explorers' League prospectors Gann and Torgan, Varana was sent to Dun Argol by Raegar Breakbrow to search for artifacts and information about the history of the settlement. However, they never expected Dun Argol to be this heavily populated and they were all taken captive by the iron dwarves. They were later rescued by adventurers.
According to Muradin Bronzebeard, Varana kept a cool head and was the on who brought them back the news that the iron dwarves were serving the mad Keeper Loken.[1]
