Jewelcrafting equipment

Profession equipment is a type of item that can be placed in a slot within a profession's interface window. Profession equipment includes traditional tools like blacksmith hammers, as well as items in the Dragon Isles that grant profession bonuses, such as new crafting and gathering stats. Most professions have three equipment slots: one for a tool, and two for accessories.

Items placed in the profession equipment slots always count as equipped; notably, this means that fishing poles no longer need to be placed in the main hand slot to use them.

Most pieces of profession equipment will show on your character when you perform a profession-related action, and remain until you enter combat. Mahra Treebender can limit how much you see your profession equipment; accessories can be hidden entirely, and tools can be made to show only while doing a profession-related action. She can be found at the Ruby Lifeshrine in the Waking Shores, at Forkriver Crossing in the Ohn'ahran Plains, and at the Artisan's Market in Valdrakken.

Only currently equipped items will show on your character, though transmog for profession equipment isn't out of the question in the future.[1]
