The subject of this article or section took place during the War of the Thorns, the Battle for Azeroth pre-launch event.
Priestesses of the Moon were night elves participating the War of the Thorns. They were first encountered in front of the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus where they were rallied into defense against the Horde. Then they boarded several ships alongside Darnassus Sentinels at Rut'theran Village. Following the Burning of Teldrassil, they were seen at Lor'danel and Mist's Edge fighting the Horde, empowering pillars, and taking care of wounded Vengeful Huntresses.
