Peculiar Fish is a grouper located in Sunless Strand in Hallowfall. The Gasping Fish was rescued from the kobyss and spoke telepathically to its rescuer,[1] asking them to collect Sunless Shards to create a weapon[2] and search their shrines to gain insights on the kobyss.[3] With the weapon prepared, the fish tasked the adventurer to attack the strongest of the kobyss.[4] It was weakened due to the proximity of the searing Light, so its last request was to be brought to deeper waters, from where it would return to its kind. Once in the water, the fish shed its disguise and revealed itself to be an Abyssal Leviathan. Before leaving, it gave them a final warning that should they bring Beledar's light to the depths, they would meet their crushing end.[5]
