Notes
- At level 120, Madness is increased by an additional 1% per 60 mastery rating.
- Madness will increase the damage done by [Shadow Word: Void] if talented.
Trivia
This is the fourth mastery shadow priests have received since masteries were introduced in Cataclysm, and the first to survive through more than one expansion. The former three masteries in order:
Patch changes
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Removed. Replaced by [Mastery: Shadow Weaving].
- Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Mind Blast, Mind Flay, Mind Sear, and Void Eruption now benefit from this mastery. Base mastery reduced to 9.6% (was 20%).
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Added, replacing [Mastery: Mental Anguish].
