Not to be confused with Mana Stone, Mana crystal, or  [Ancient Mana Gem].

Mana Gems are conjured by mages with [Conjure Mana Gem].

On use, a Mana Gem will restore 25% of the user's max mana and provide the following buff for 12 seconds:

With the [Cascading Power] talent, using a Mana Gem will also grant 2 stacks of [Clearcasting].

Patch changes

  • Dragonflight Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now restores 25% mana (was 10%). Additionally increases spell damage by 5% for 12 seconds.
  • Shadowlands Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Re-added.
  • Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Removed.
  • Mists of Pandaria Hotfix (2013-09-11): Fixed an issue where a Mana Gem modified by the  [Glyph of Loose Mana] was restoring more mana than intended. The total amount of mana restored should now be the same as an unglyphed Mana Gem.
  • Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Mana Gems once again count as conjured items and will disappear after being logged out for 15 minutes.
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Added.
