Malefic Rapture is an Affliction warlock ability. It is cast using [Soul Shards].

Damaging periodic spells not only include [Agony], [Corruption], [Unstable Affliction], and Haunt, but can also include other cooldown periodic damage spells like [Vile Taint], [Phantom Singularity], and [Soul Rot].

Patch changes

Hotfix (2022-12-19): Damage increased by 15%.
Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 1 Affliction talent (was a level 11 Affliction ability).
Patch 9.1.0 (2021-06-29): Damage reduced by 18%.
Patch 9.0.5 (2021-03-09):
- No longer causes targets to drop Stealth if it deals no damage.
- No longer wastes a Soul Shard if there are no targets are within line of sight when the cast is completed.
