Lindsey Ravensun was a Forsaken who took part in the Battle for Andorhal in the Western Plaguelands. Towards the end of the conflict, she was called upon by Koltira Deathweaver to assist in the battle. She then revealed herself to Horde agents as the alter-ego of none other than Sylvanas Windrunner. As she shed her disguise, Sylvanas took over command of the battle from Koltira.
There were a few hints towards the true identity of Lindsay such as her intimate knowledge of the Val'kyr and her ability to speak through them,[1][2] her name being an anagram of "Sylvanas Windrunner" (though it's missing the W and one R), or her saying that "the dark lady watches over you".[3]
