Leystone is a metal found throughout the Broken Isles. It's light like mithril, easy to shape, and has a magical energy more potent than even saronite or elementium.[1] It reacts violently with certain substances, as if they were a contaminant. Using foreign-mined welding flux on leystone can have explosive results. This problem can be worked around by making flux from local ingredients that have adapted to coexist with leystone, such as foxflower;[2] or by crafting leystone armor out of a single piece, as the Hatecoil naga have done.[3]

Mining both rich and normal leystone deposits has a chance to spawn a Leystone Basilisk which can be further mined for more
