Kor'kron Elites were elite Kor'krons first stationed in the original Grommash Hold as Warchief Thrall's bodyguards. These bodyguards would defend Thrall with their life and other residents of the city's fortress. They were more powerful and stronger than the city's regular guards, the Orgrimmar Grunts.
History
They were present during the meeting with Thrall and Sylvanas Windrunner and Jaina Proudmoore following the Battle of Angrathar the Wrathgate.
The Kor'kron elites continued to guard Orgrimmar following Thrall's departure, upholding their duties with the new Warchief of the Horde, Garrosh Hellscream. Curiously, they were not found within the new-look Grommash Hold (despite their presence here being mentioned in The Shattering: Prelude to Cataclysm), though several were seen atop Orgrimmar's battlement between the Drag and the Valley of Honor. They appeared to be training Orgrimmar Grunts.
Following Vol'jin's rebellion, they disappeared.
Trivia
- The Kor'kron Elite appears as a basic card for the Warrior class in Hearthstone. The flavor text reads: "The Kor'kron are the elite forces of Garrosh Hellscream. Let's just say you don't want to run into these guys while wearing a blue tabard."
Patch changes
Patch 6.0.3 (2014-10-28): Removed. 
Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Level raised from 85 elite to 90 elite. 
Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Level raised from 80 elite to 85 elite. 
Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Level raised from 60 to 80 elite.
