Kick is a level 6 rogue ability that interrupts spellcasting. If Kick interrupts a spell, it also prevents the target from casting any spell from that school for 5 seconds.
Notes
Proper use of Kick is helpful in many instances where spellcasters are present. In endgame raid situations, rogue Kicks may be necessary.
Tips and tactics
Properly staggering the cooldowns of Kick, [Kidney Shot], and [Gouge] can keep a caster almost completely crippled for the duration of a battle.

Patch changes
- Patch 10.1.0 (2023-05-02): Interrupt duration decreased to 3 seconds (was 5 seconds).
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now learned at level 6 (was 18).
- Patch 5.1.0 (2012-11-27): The energy cost of Kick has been reduced to 10 (was 15).
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Now learned at level 18 (was 12).
- Patch 4.1.0 (2011-04-26): Can no longer be blocked.
- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Now costs 15 Energy, down from 25.
- Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Kick is now only 1 rank and no longer causes damage.
- Patch 2.3.0 (2007-11-13): Interrupting a channeled spell with this ability will now always properly prevent casting spells from the same spell school for 5 sec.
- Patch 1.4.0 (2005-04-19): The Kick ability prevents the target from casting spells in the same school when channeled casting is interrupted.
- Patch 0.10 (2004-09-18): Interrupt duration has been reduced.
- Patch 0.7 (2004-06-15): Damage increased. Interrupt chance raised to 100%.
- Patch 0.6 (2004-04-13):
- Damage and energy costs reduced.
- Now has a 75% chance of working, similar to other interrupts.
- Duration decreased and cooldown increased.
