Janius was a night elf boy from Ara-Hinam and a childhood friend of Shandris Feathermoon prior to the War of the Ancients. By the time of the Nazjatar Campaign, his ghost was found in Nazjatar. Shandris searched for him, leading to her putting him to rest. As she did, Janius turned into a wisp.

- During early builds of patch 8.2, Janius was named Janius Feathermoon and was described as Shandris' brother rather than just her friend.[1]
- He uses a nightborne child model since no night elf child model existed in the game at the time he was added.
