James Vishas was a human member of the Scarlet Crusade found in the Graveyard wing of the Scarlet Monastery.
Background
World of Warcraft
James Vishas was the Scarlet Crusade's lead interrogator at the Scarlet Monastery. He enjoyed torturing any captured undead and took great pride in his work. Vishas was known for his unrelenting sadism, cruel expertise, and high pitched voice.
Interrogator Vishas tortured Vorrel Sengutz for weeks. Vishas took Sengutz's wedding ring and gave it to his own wife, Nancy Vishas. Nancy lived with Grandpa Vishas, James' father, at a cottage on the eastern coast of Lordamere Lake in the Alterac Mountains.
The Old Hillsbrad
He can be seen as a child in Old Hillsbrad alongside young Sally Whitemane and Renault Mograine "playing" with a frog.
Joining the Brawler's Guild
Once believed to have been killed in the Graveyard wing of Scarlet Monastery, Vishas is picked up by the Brawler's Guild and was taken in as a gladiator. Dungeon Master Vishas appears in the new Brawler's Guild in Patch 5.1.

- Among his victims was the mother of Dark Ranger Velonara.[1]
- Interestingly, Nancy Vishas mentions "Sidney" being late in a scripted sequence at the Vishas home in the Alterac Mountains.[2] Presumably this was meant to refer to Interrogator Vishas. However, with the advent of the The Burning Crusade expansion and the appearance of his younger self in the Old Hillsbrad Foothills, it is implied that Vishas' first name is Jimmy (variation of James). It's possible 'Sidney' is meant to be his middle name.
- The names Sidney and Nancy Vishas are a reference to Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen.
- His TCG artwork is used by the Scarlet Purifier card in the Goblins vs Gnomes expansion of Hearthstone.
