Irewing is an elusive yet highly ravenous roc, cursed by harpy magic,[1] circling above its nest in the northern part of Pinerock Basin in Highmountain. As the final test of Addie Fizzlebog's skills as a hunter, Hemet Nesingwary sends Addie and the adventurer to send up a flare and bring down Irewing so Hemet's hunting party can kill it.
After killing the beast, Hemet says that the encounter will make a fine chapter in his next novel, and Addie, who is also Nesingwary's ghostwriter, says that the party should return to Nesingwary's Retreat while the kill is still fresh in her mind. Back at camp, Hemet admits that he's not sure if he and his companions could've killed the roc without the aid of Addie and the adventurer.
Objective of
Needs to be brought down with the Flare Gun (Higmountain) and then killed during 
[10-45] Scout It Out.
Abilities
Dark Maw — Blasts the enemy with horrid breath, inflicting 142 to 158 Shadow damage.- Nightmare Scream — Screams, causing all nearby enemies to run in fear for 4 sec.
Patch changes
Hotfix (2020-02-03): Angerhoof Bull, Anzu, Blaithe, Doe, Greathorn Stag, Irewing, Motorback Ape, and Porkchop are now tamable.
