The invasion of Mardum is an invasion of Mardum, the Shattered Abyss launched by the Illidari during the last days of the invasion of Outland. The invasion was launched approximately during the Sha'tari attack on the Black Temple.

The objective of the demon hunters was to get the  [Sargerite Keystone] for their master Illidan Stormrage.

Notes

  • An unknown entity time-traveled to the Black Temple right before the original Illidari attack on Mardum and modified the battleplans for the incoming assault to make them even better. Agents sent by Vormu of the bronze dragonflight came too late to stop this modification of the timeline.[1]
