Notes

• Because Ice Floes is instant and not affected by the global cooldown, it can be combined with other abilities using macros.

• Patch 11.0.5 (2024-10-22):
  • Now allows you to cast [Portal] and [Teleport] spells while moving.
  • [Arcane Missiles] no longer consumes Ice Floes if you have [Slipstream] talented.
    
• Hotfix (2023-08-10): Fixed an issue that caused Ice Floes to be consumed by [Flurry] and [Frost Bomb]'s detonation.
  
• Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 6 class talent (was a level 25 Frost talent).
  
• Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now available at level 25 (was 30).

• Patch 5.4.0 (2013-09-10): Now has 3 charges (up from 2 charges), and has a 20-second cooldown (down from 45 seconds).
  
• Patch 5.2.0 (2013-03-05): Now has a 45-second cooldown (was 1 minute) and its duration has been increased to 15 seconds (was 10 seconds).
  
• Hotfix (2012-10-01): Charges of Ice Floes are no longer consumed when the Chilled effect from [Frost Armor] is applied to enemies.
  
• Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Redesigned as a level 15 talent (was a tier 2 Frost talent): Allows you to move while casting and channeling the next 2 Mage spells that have a base cast or channel time less than 4 sec. This spell may be cast while a cast time spell is in progress and is not on the global cooldown. Instant cast, 1 minute cooldown. Icon updated from

  Old: Reduces the cooldown of your Frost Nova, Cone of Cold, Ice Block, Cold Snap, Ice Barrier, and Icy Veins spells by 7%. Passive.
  

• Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Moved from tier 1 to tier 2. Now also affects [Cold Snap] and [Ice Barrier].
  
• Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Renamed from [Improved Frost Nova]. Moved to tier 1 (was Tier 2), increased to 3 ranks (was 2), and now reduces cooldown of [Frost Nova], [Cone of Cold], [Ice Block], and [Icy Veins] by 7/14/20%.

  Old: Reduces the cooldown of your Frost Nova spell by 2/4 sec.
