Holy Words is a passive level 26 Holy priest ability. It reduces the cooldown of Holy Word abilities when other spells are cast.
Notes
- The spell's former name means "good fortune discovered by accident or luck."
- The ability is listed in the spellbook as Rank 2 before it is learned, but there is no Rank 1. It is not visible in the spellbook after learning, as it is essentially just a single-spell display for Rank 2 of the three Holy Word spells.
Patch changes
Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Renamed from 
[Serendipity]. Now learned at level 26 (was 20). Now also causes 
[Renew] to reduce cooldown of [Holy Word: Sanctify]. Now only causes 
[Smite] to reduce cooldown of [Holy Word: Chastise] by 4 seconds, down from 6 seconds.
Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25): Now learned at level 20 (was 42).
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Redesigned. Now learned at level 42 (was 34).
- Old: When you heal with Binding Heal or Flash Heal, the cast time of your next Heal or Prayer of Healing spell is reduced by 20% and mana cost reduced by 20%. Stacks up to 2 times. Lasts 20 sec.
Patch 5.4.0 (2013-09-10): Mana cost reduction has been increased to 20% per stack (up from 10% per stack), and no longer displays a spell effect when in the UI when it's active.
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): The cast time of next Greater Heal or
[Prayer of Healing] is always reduced by 20% and mana cast is always reduced by 10%. Now a level 34 Holy specialization ability (was a tier 4 Holy talent).
Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08): Now has Spell Alert and Floating Combat Text feedback support.

Hotfix (2009-04-23): The Priest ability Serendipity is now properly consumed when a spell finishes casting and does not affect a second spell.
