Health Funnel is a warlock ability that allows them to transfer their own health to their pet. This ability can be invaluable for saving a dying demon.

Tips and tactics

Unlike First Aid, this spell generates threat for the warlock (although this may be desirable if the pet is dying anyway).

Patch changes

Patch 9.2.5a (2022-08-02): Effectiveness increased by 20% in PvP combat.
Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now learned at level 8 (was 22).
Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Now sacrifices 25% of maximum health over 5 seconds (up from 24% over 6 seconds).
Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25): Now learned at level 22 (was 19).
Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Now available to all specializations. Now sacrifices 24% of the player's health (from 12%) to heal the demon for double the amount (from 36% of the demon's health). Now learned at level 19 (was 11).
Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Now available only to Affliction and Demonology Warlocks. No longer gains a benefit from [Soulburn]. Level reduced from 12 to 11.
Patch 5.3.0 (2013-05-21): Now causes the Soulburn portion of the spell to increase healing generated from Health Funnel by 140% instead of instantly restoring 36% health.
Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Health cost increased from 1% to 6%. Duration increased from 3 to 6 sec.
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): now sacrifices 1% of your total health to restore 6% of your summoned Demon's total health every 1 sec (was fixed health values based on rank).
Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Visual spell effect changed.
Patch 2.4.3 (2008-07-15): This ability will now cancel channeling when the target pet is Banished.
Patch 2.3.2 (2008-01-08): The health cost taken from the Warlock after using Health Funnel will now remain consistent between uses.
Patch 1.12.0 (2006-08-22): This spell will now work correctly on low-level enslaved demons.
