Hallazeal the Ascended is a powerful elemental ascendant located in the Abyssal Depths of the aquatic zone of Vashj'ir. Hallazeal is a member of the Twilight's Hammer cult and works to advance the agenda of the Old Gods, whose goal is the wholesale destruction of mortal civilization. Within the ancient being L'ghorek, Hallazeal and his Twilight followers began draining the power from their host, causing L'ghorek to begin to die. This power was then used to begin to transform these cultists into elemental ascendants, Hallazeal first among them. Hallazeal and his new ascendants were then to be used in the coming conflict with the elemental lord Neptulon, the Tide Hunter.[1]
Ultimately, however, in his dying moments, L'ghorek tasked adventurers with stopping the Twilight's Hammer's plans and killing Hallazeal, thus ending the threat of any future ascendants being created here.[2]
Abilities
Arcane Barrage — Launches several missiles at the enemy target, inflicting Arcane damage.
Overwhelming Power — Sends out an arc of magic, inflicting Arcane damage to the target enemy.

Hallazeal appears as a legendary card for the Shaman class in the Whispers of the Old Gods expansion for Hearthstone. His flavor text reads: "Hallazeals all your dallazamage." This is a reference to his card's mechanic.
