A gnomecorder is a device allowing long-distance communications, and judging by the name was invented by gnomes. They are used by members of the Alliance military in numerous locations around Azeroth.
World of Warcraft
- A gnomecorder is a quest item for
[7-30] We Must Prepare! and is used to keep in contact with Magistrate Solomon, Troteman, and John J. Keeshan throughout Redridge Mountains. Troteman also keeps in touch via Gnomecorder in several quests in the Burning Steppes.
- Gazlowe offers the player a gnomecorder to contact him with, during the quest "Love it or Limpet" in the Northern Barrens.
- Professor Xakxak Gyromate provides the player with a gnomecorder for several quests in the Stonetalon Mountains, built with pieces of goblin technology.
