An example buzzbox.

Buzzboxes are devices invented - or at least used - by the gnome Wizbang Cranktoggle in Darkshore. They combine elements both of two-way communication devices[1] and analysis/processing devices.[2][3] They may also incorporate teleportation/transportation devices. The only problem with these devices is that they need constant maintenance.[4]

Prior to the Cataclysm, there were four buzzboxes, named Buzzbox 827, Buzzbox 411, Buzzbox 323, and Buzzbox 525 across Darkshore. As the adventurer proceeded through the quests, it became apparent that Wizbang was using them as exotic backyard stills.[5][6][7]

After the Cataclysm, there are still two examples that the adventurer can interact with: Buzzbox 413 and Buzzbox 723.[8]
