Gimmel was a dwarf who helped Vereesa Windrunner and Falstad Dragonreaver escape the clutches of a band of cannibalistic trolls under the command of Gree. Following their rescue he reported the death of Joj and Narn's injuries to Rom. He was soon revealed to be Rom's second in battle and later in the confidence of Krasus. He didn't like Krasus's decision for the medallion used to speak with him being turned over to Vereesa anymore than chieftain did. He died in the Battle of Grim Batol.

Legacy

In the years after Gimmel's death, Rom and other dwarves under his command sometimes use the oath "Gimmel's blood" when surprised. After Rom died in Grim Batol years later, Gimmel was among the dwarves there to welcome Rom into the afterlife.
