This item was a quest reward from   [60R] Frostfire Sandals. The required quest item  [Desecrated Sandals] dropped from Instructor Razuvious and Gothik the Harvester in Naxxramas.

It was removed from the game, but later reintroduced via the Black Market Auction House with a starting bid of 10,000.
