Trivia

• This item's ability is nearly identical to the spell Freeze used by a Mage's Water Elemental.
• This is one of the few engineering grenades with a secondary effect that does not have a chance to fail on targets at higher levels.

Patch changes

• Patch 3.0.3 (2008-11-04): Frost Grenades have been reverted to their original damage and effects.
  
• Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Frost Grenades now deal Physical damage instead of Frost Damage, and slows their movement speed rather than freezing them.
