- The flames licked the edges of the weapon as though only blood would slake its thirst.[1]
Flametongue Weapon is a shaman temporary weapon imbue that causes melee attacks to deal additional fire damage, available at level 7..
Notes
- Flametongue Weapon is one of the two shaman weapon imbues available (the other being [Windfury Weapon]), and the only shaman imbue available for elemental and restoration.
- Unlike rogue poisons, Flametongue Weapon is applied as a temporary weapon enchant. Therefore it cannot be used with a weapon stone or oil on the same weapon (they will overwrite each other).
Tips and tactics
- Enhancement shamans should always have Flametongue Weapon imbued due to the buff it gives to [Lava Lash].
- Consumable imbues (ex. [Shaded Weightstone]) do not compare for enhancement, and should never be considered over Flametongue Weapon.
- In contrast, elemental and restoration shamans gain no real value from Flametongue Weapon, and should use [Shadowcore Oil] or [Embalmer's Oil] on their weapons instead.
