Farand was a Wildhammer dwarf during the Second War. He and his thane, Kurdran Wildhammer, were the first to notice the orcs in the Hinterlands after their retreat from Hillsbrad. He and Iomhar later assisted Kurdran to battle the red dragons ridden by orcs that attacked the Third Fleet.

While he apparently survived the war his status remains unknown.
